Traveling Art and Open Studios

What a wonderful weekend out in the high desert!  The Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council (MBCAC) arranged an amazing series of events and catalog supporting this year's HWY 62 Art Tours.  As an artist participating in the event for the first time, I was impressed with the community support, not only by local residents but other artists on the tour.

I hope to return the honor this coming weekend November 1-2nd for the closing weekend of the Open Studios.  A full report of favorite artists and studios, with photos, to follow next week, I promise!

A few highlights from last weekend include welcoming over 200 visitors into my home and studio over the two days I was open.  I was interviewed by the local newspaper - the Hi-Desert Sun.  The photos and a short paragraph about my traveling studio ended up in the print edition on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014.

I wanted to extend a personal thank you to everyone who made it out to visit and say hi!  It was such an affirming experience.  Not only did I get to share this weekend with my mom and grandma, who are by far my biggest fans, but I met many other local residents and artists who I look forward getting to know even better over the next few years.

Betsy Goza and family.  So nice to meet her whole family this weekend!  Thanks for posing for this one :)

Last but not least!  Here's a picture of my favorite visitors this weekend :)  But I am a little biased.

Thanks again everyone!  And I'll definitely see you again next year!  Until then you can keep in touch with what I am doing by following this blog and signing up for my quarterly newsletter via this website or on my Facebook Book.

Happy travels!
