Watercolor, acrylic, pen and ink
Layers and Layers of ripped paper make up the texture of this painting. Only after arranging the scraps of paper, did I discover the image of this flower, that could be any flower, really. There are words arranged like a poem around the edges of the petals.

Exploring the use of india ink dropped onto the page and mixed with wet watercolor pigments, I used two pages in my travel moleskin journal for this piece that focuses on the sky line of the hills just outside Tucscon, Arizona.
